FY2011-12 Budget Information
For the fourth consecutive year, Richmond Public Schools is facing significant budget challenges. The Richmond City School Board is currently considering the district's FY2012 budget, which reflects an $8.7 million deficit. This is based on Governor Robert McDonnell's recently proposed budget legislation, possible flat level funding from the City and increased fund expenditures. The final budget impact is not yet known and depends on several variables, including final funding commitments from both the City and the General Assembly.
